Notice for US/ CA driver’s license or US/ CA Passport owners: 
Renters must present a valid non-US/ CA driver’s license and/ or a non-US/ CA Passport.
For customers that are holders of any of the above documents, please proceed your bookings from the following link, so that the field “I live in” is filled with “USA" or "CANADA” accordingly, even if they don’t currently live in USA/ CANADA.

Third Party Liability cover amounts included in the rates: 
- For bodily injuries per accident, up to 1000000 USD. 
- For property damages per accident (excluding rented car), up to 1000000 USD. 

Payment : 
The following credi t cards are accepted: American Express, Diners Club, Discover, Eurocard / Mastercard, VISA. Debit cards are accepted at airport offices. C ash is not accepted.
A valid credi t card in the name of the main driver must be presented as guarantee for the rental. Our local car rental partner may reserve an amount of up to 400 USD (depending on your selected car group) as guarantee, which will be released after the end of the rental period if no damage/theft has occurred. 
In New York State additional drivers must present a credi t card in their name in order to be added to the rental.
Please note that all local payments will be made in US Dollars (USD). 

Driver requirements : 
Maximum age of driver is 85 years. 
Driver must hold a full, valid licence for at least 1 day with no major endorsements. 
International driver’s licence is required in case that the driver's licence is not in English. If the driver's licence is in a language other than English, but the characters are in English (i.e.alphabet is an extended Latin-based alphabet like German, Spanish, etc.), an International driver’s licence is recommended but not required.
In the states of Michigan and Massachusetts renters with a Chinese driving license are not permitted to rent.  

Ferrying the car : 
Domestic is normally allowed. Any extra cost will be paid locally. 
You have to inform the car rental company that you will take the rented car on a ferry. 

Across the border rentals : 
are allowed into Canada. 
Cross border card must be ordered during the booking procedure. 
In case of offence against Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions all insurances lose their validity. 

Driving Restrictions in Alaska : 
Driving on unpaved roadways and on the following named roadways of Alaska is prohibited : Cambel Highway, Canol Road, Dalton Highway, Dempster Highway, Denali Highway, Edgerton Highway, Elliot Highway, McCarthy Road, Nabesena Road, Steese Highway, Taylor Highway. 

Other Information : 
Rates and items, services and insurances included in the rates may vary for citizens of Canada or the USA. Renters must present a valid non-US/non-Canadian driver’s license and a valid non-US/non-Canadian Passport. 
Local taxes and fees may be applied on the extra services or equipment (babyseats, add. drivers, GPS, etc.) by our car rental partner locally. The price of the extra services or equipment EconomyCarRentals offers is the price without any local taxes or fees.

Cancellation Policy 
Free of Charge for Cancellations made online via My Booking 48 hours before the rental start date. 
Cancellations less than 48 hours incur a non-refundable maximum amount of 50 Euro* (or equivalent currency).
*Due to the currency exchange rate used by your bank this amount may be slightly higher or lower.
No Refund is made for a No Show or failure to produce the correct documentation, driver's licence, passport/ ID card, credi t card etc.

Amendments and changes
Amendment of a Confirmed booking Made via My Booking online.
When an amendment is made a new order is created.
Until new order (amendment) is confirmed by rental provider the original order remains valid.
After confirmation the original order is automatically cancelled and all related payments will be adjusted.
Please Note: Amending your booking is FREE OF CHARGE 
Prices vary and local provider may be different. New voucher will be issued. 
Amending a not confirmed booking results in the original order being cancelled immediately. 

Extension of a booking in rental can be made either by making a new booking via Economy Car Rentals (requires confirmation by a local provider, not necessarily the same) or by arranging it with the local provider.
If the extension is arranged with the local provider, “Theft & Damage Excess Protection” package, “Wheels, Tires, Undercarriage and Glass Coverage” or any other service offered by EconomyCarRentals (if chosen) is not valid for the extended days.

Other charges
Usually, upon collection, the car rental provider will hold an amount on your credi t card, to cover the excess (if applicable) and any missing fuel, until the car and fuel tank are returned in the same condition.
C ash or debit card payments are rarely accepted.
The renter is responsible for parking and traffic fines, towing costs and toll fines. Any dissatisfaction with the rental car must be reported immediately to the local provider.

Out of operating hour charges
Any ‘out of operating hour’ charges, if applicable, are always INCLUDED in our prices.
Any deviation from the confirmed pick up/ return times on your voucher could incur extra charges, closed station or your booking treated as No Show.
We strongly recommend contacting your local provider in the case of any time change.
Tip: A common practice of most other sites is to hide this charge

Authorized driver
Main driver: The person named on the voucher (main driver) has to sign the car rental contract at the time of pick up.
Additional driver: Details are not required at the time of booking. It is advisable to book this option online to take advantage of our online price.
Young Driver Fee: Always INCLUDED in our prices.
Tip: All other sites hide this charge.
Note: Any young driver fee, if applicable to additional drivers will be paid locally.

If the person specified on the voucher as the “main driver” is not stated on the local hire contract/ agreement, then refundable service of "Theft & Damage Excess Protection" or "Wheels, Tires, Undercarriage and Glass Coverage", if are opted online during the booking procedure, become invalid.

Any local/ government tax changes will be reflected in the amount to pay locally.
Using our website signifies your acceptance of the above together with the General Terms and Conditions of Economy Car Rentals.
The rental agreement entered into at the local destination is exclusively between yourself and the car rental provider.
